Hey guys,

Bee using the PC in my sig for about a year and a half. Was working fine this am, and suddenly I see the BIOS screen loading. Continued to boot and then I got a "DISK BOOT FAILURE- PRESS ANY KEY TO REBOOT" error msg.

I tried that, and get the same disk boot msg.

I am able to get into safe mode, so I guessing the hard drive is not the problem. The only thing I've installed recently is Kaspersky Internet Security, which I did about 3-4 days ago. I tried to remove it via Add/Remove programs in safe mode, but it seems that's not possible in safe mode.

I've tried re-seating the IDE cables for the HDD. Should I try a system restore to set it back to before installing Kaspersky? What else would you guys recommend?

Thanks!
Aaron

Boot the original CD and try the Repair.

Your regular HD Boot Drivers might be corrupted.
