disk array: gigabit ethernet vs. fibre channel

let's say the fibre channel disk array is also running at 1 gigabit, would there be a noticeable performance difference between a fibre channel disk arary versus a disk array that uses gigabit ethernet for communication (assuming the disk array is right next to computer and the cable length is 33 centimeters)?

the channel is never truly saturated in any real world scenario. depending on the quality of hte cabling for the 1000BT, i would say the fibre channel is faster.
