Good Afternoon,

When i load and run this off of my VIA controller(K8V Se DLX) I lose my disk access led. If i run off the Promise controller my disk access LED works just fine. Is it because the VIA is more geared towards RAID? This may seem petty, but i have kinda gotten used to seeing the disk activity LED blinking at me.

Thanks

assuming both your promise and via controllers are integrated on your mobo, it simply means asus didn't bother to link your via controller to the hdd led header on your mobo.

probably an oversight on asus's part, bad mobo design, or maybe there're some technical constraints i have no clue about.

All you K8V SE DLX users running 1 SATA off the VIA controller. Does your disk access LED light when you drive is accessed?

Thanks
