I wanted to get 3.. shipping is 11 bucks for 3 remotes..

Its still a good deal, but ouch.. 11 bucks to ship about a pound or two of stuff.

shipping is steep, still may be a good deal though.

A word of caution: I don't think this remote will control most of the dish network receivers. I have this remote left over from my 7100 and it DOES NOT work with my 2700. I know it will work with the 7100/7200... other than that... look into it before you buy. I think it has a different type of beam or something... though these remote do sell for much more on ebay.. hmmm 🙂

This place is supposed to be some kind of online mall for other retailers. I went straight to bhwarehouse.com and they have it for $5.99 but shipping is MUCH CHEAPER! To CA only $2.56. I have a Dishplayer 7200 and this looks like my exact remote. I needed one, too, because my rabbit ate the power button off of mine. I think he was trying to tell me I watch too much TV.

I checked the web sites, after doing the math looks like costs including shipping are:

catalogcity: $9.99 first remote plus $4.99 each additional

bhwarehouse.com: $8.55 each remote

Looks like the best deal depends on how many you want. I've got a couple of extra room transmitters - may pick up a couple extra remotes to go with em & save myself from having to drag the original remote from room to room.

(I live in NC so shipping costs probably the same within the continental US)

Just to confirm with a post above. This remote is for the dishplayer only and does not have the PTV buttons on it. This remote was replaced by a version that looks very similar, but includes buttons for play, stop, record, ff, rew, etc.
So beware, if you have a dishplayer with PTV service, this remote may not be of much value to you.
