Dish Network or DirectTV?

I have Dish and I like it a lot, but now I am getting asked by friends which is better Dish or Direct.....

The only thing I know is the big different is Direct gets dibs on most of the big Sporting events.

Anyone have any pointers, links that compare?

I read some of the other posts here now, not quite like it has been mentioned excessively though, almost all posts were done on 1/27 though oddly.

I had searched before posting and got no hits...wierd.
