I'm looking at eBay for a second receiver for my upstairs bedroom. What I don't understand is the difference between a " blue card " or a " yellow card "

Looking at getting the Dish Network DP 301 receiver. I know that some of these selling there say there is no balance owed and other ads don't mention balances at all.

My downstairs receiver is about a year old and we subscribe to the America's "Everything" Pak w/local channels.

Does it make a difference as to what color card is included when buying a used receiver ?

Been reading up as much as I can find ( not that much info I can find though ) but it looks like the yellow card is the newest generation of card ? Is that the only difference ?
