A homeless man is on trial in San Mateo County on charges that he smacked a fellow transient in the face with a skateboard as the victim was engaged in a conversation about quantum physics, authorities said today.

Jason Everett Keller, 40, allegedly accosted another homeless man, Stephan Fava, on the 200 block of Grand Avenue in South San Francisco at about 1:45 p.m. March 30.

At the time, Fava was chatting with an acquaintance, who is also homeless, about "quantum physics and the splitting of atoms," according to prosecutors.

Keller joined in the conversation and, for reasons unknown, got upset, authorities said. He picked up his skateboard and hit Fava in the face with it, splitting his lip, prosecutors said.

Fava also fell and broke his ankle, although how this happened wasn't exactly known, authorities said.

The attack was witnessed by two other people who told police that Fava had done nothing to provoke Keller, authorities said.

You said electron was a particle? Take a skateboard to the face, muthafuka!

Homeless people are having more in-depth conversations than 80% (modestly) of the topics on ATOT. And they're ending in probably what should be more appropriate response to 80% of the posts on ATOT.

"I think people who believe in <A> should die in a fire of herpes!"
"Your opinion is full of shit!" *SKATEBOARD*

I can already tell I'm not going to like you. I've seen two of your posts and they were both Alkemyst-style, "I'm better than ATOT even though I'm posting on ATOT" smugness.

What? No "I'm going to slug you" cause I think I can actually fight comment? Let down...

Damn it. And I came here to make friends. Well, I guess I'll not be sending you a Christmas card. But just for a record, I don't think I'm better than ATOT. Mainly because I don't compare myself to walls of texts from random people. It's a forum from the intertoobs. It's like walking by a random room full of faceless people and pointing into going "Fuck those people, I'm better than all of them." Nah. I don't care. You're probably cooler than me GodlessAstronomer, with your multiple syllable-like name. It's totally radical.

I'm just here to post poorly constructed thoughts in my head. I like ATOT. I waste small spots of minutes spreading my brand of joy. If you detect smugness, I hope it doesn't waste three seconds of your day -- besides when you point into the room of faceless people which I am in - clearly identify me (with my inferior name) and go "Fuck that guy, he's a prick."

Because I probably am.

A prick.

Maybe it's a good thing that ATOT can't figure out 10 lbs. of meat, or whether the plane takes off (it does) or not. It will be a bloody mess when we graduate to such a violent subject as quantum physics.

tbh i think quantum physics has it all wrong. it talks of light being a mix of a wave and particle, but what about this?

there are no such things as waves only particles acting together due to different forces or vibrations???

does anyone have any views on this?

Since this thread actually has nothing to do with quantum physics and hasen't been responded to since 2009, I think we'll just let it rest in peace.
