Discussion of Fraudulent RMAs Should Be Bannable

I was just inspired by reading a thread over in the video forum, where people were discussing whether or not they could get away w/ RMAing or returning a vid card that wouldn't overclock, or blew up....

And whether you think it's right or wrong, in the eyes of the law, it's wrong. It's against the law. It's fraud. And thus, since the forum moderators don't want people promoting criminal acts here, I believe there should be harsh punishments for those discussing this. Fraud is a serious crime, and it costs the rest of us money.

I mean, you wouldn't tolerate someone asking about CompUSAs security system, in an effort to conceal a sound card under their jacket, and this is the same thing.

Bragging about street racing should be bannable. Whether you think it is right or wrong, in the eyes of the law, it's wrong. It's against the law. Street racing is a serious crime, and it costs innocent people their lives.

There's a difference between asking for help to break the law, and saying that you've broken the law. I mean, we've had people on here confess to beating people, killing people, whatever. But that's in the past, and there's nothing to be done about it.

But there's no reason to allow people to plan future crimes here. Stop the planning stop the crime. See, if we were trying to get together a street racing night or something, that would be bad. Or if I said, "What's the best way to lose a cop?" The difference is clear.

We can't change crimes in the past, but we can try to prevent future ones.

were you the one the convinced the moderators to outlaw usage of the g-word? 😉

No... I am gay... But I can't imagine how sheltered someone must be to have been gay for any length of time, and still be offended by the offhand remarks of forum dorks... Must have come out in some amazing totally accepting place, and thus not develop the thick skin that's needed for survival in the wild.
