Partially inspired by http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/1...ans-green-bay-packers-three-first-round-picks

Not just on the Texans, but on another team which might conceivably trade for him. Any and all scenarios are on the table.

I say Packers should go for him and move him to TE. Texans need to rebuild and cannot use Watt to enough of a percentage of his full potential. Packers are in win-now mode, they need a weapon, and they have a decent front seven already. We've seen what Gronk can do, and Watt might be able to out-Gronk Gronk. He's got the hands and the wheels:

How would he do as an OT? ILB? K?

Go.

First off, fellow Bronco fan here (nice avatar). Second, I live in Houston, so I understand the impact JJ has here in the city. It would be quit devastating to the Texans from a PR standpoint to trade him, so I just can't see it happening.

Lastly, I don't think the Texans are in rebuild mode more than they are in need of a quality QB and someone to supplement Hopkins. The CB's were horrible the first 5 games of the season, but they've come on that last couple games, so if they can keep it up, defense should be less of a worry.

Suggesting that Watt would switch positions is slightly absurd. He's the best player in the world at his position, and you'd put him at TE? Laughable unless you could guarantee he'd be as good as Gronk or better. Not a chance because route running and learning to block takes years. Even then, I'd argue that the best pass rusher is more valuable than the best TE. I'd also argue that many SB teams have won without an elite tight end whereas almost all winners have a great to elite pass rush.

"and move him to TE"

What, that's dumb.

But in any case, Watt proves that only QB's deserve QB money, non-QB's, even the greats like Watt, can't affect the game like even a 2nd tier QB can.

That being said, it'd be great if the Pats could pick him up.

I don't have any doubt that he *could* play tight end effectively, but he's a bigger help to the team being a defensive disruption. Leave him where he is doing what he's doing and if you really want to stretch things a bit you bring him onto a offense one or two plays a game in goal-line or short yardage situations.

Hypothetically the only player Ted Thompson would trade 3 first rounders for is already the Packers franchise QB.

I was hoping this was a thinly-veiled babe thread or something. Left disappointed.

Seahawks should get him, the defense is still good, but not dominant anymore, especially in the 4th quarter.

Texans need to fire Rick Smith, and honestly, quite possibly, O'Brien.
