Discrepency with charges for DATA usage on Cingular Calling Plan

My contract i just recieved says DATA will be billed at 1 cent a kilobyte for MEDIAnet. Their webstie says 3 cents a kilobyte, and thats how much i was billed, but if my contract says 1 cent, shouldn't i be able to negotiate at lesat that rate for this current month?

Any help would be greatly apreciated.

Where did you get your contract? Cingular recently changed the pricing on their data packages, and if your seller hasn't updated their contracts you could be screwed. Your best bet is to call Cingular and complain. You might get lucky and get the old rate.

if you have a contract in writing, it should supercede any web agreement that can be easily altered.

Because Bestbuys is a reseller for Cingular. You brought from BB not Cingular, so Cingular really isn't responsible for the mix up. You won't lose nothing but time if you call Cingular and complain though.

He's saying BB is responsible, but the contracts are for Cingular. BB is an authorized agent/reseller. They're not providing the service - Cingular is. Call up Cingular and point out it's on your contract at 1 cent per KB. They have to either honor it or you can tell them to fvck off and get out of it if you wanted.

BB does not provide the service, nor do they bill it. So how could they be repsonsible?

They not responsible for the service, but they're responsible for your woes, because they gave you an old contract. Cingular doesn't have to honer it, and that's why you were billed at the new rate. You can call and complain, and you might get lucky. I'm betting you won't though. They could care less about one guy now that they're 50 million strong. Call now and post your result!
