I have never seen something like this before. This woman is over 600lbs and is getting a gastric bypass.

I knew a little bit about the surgery, but this show really opened my eyes about over-weight and morbidly obease people. I always thought that it was always their faults they were so fat, etc. but this show really made me stop and think.

I will never say anything bad about a heavy person again.

They had to have 4 EMT's get her(by harness) onto a rolling bed to be put in an ambulance.

This is so sad.

Anyone else see this show?

Why on earth would you want to watch soemthing like that? yech.

because it is something i have never seen and to make me gain understanding of another person.

it is really sad. It is gross... she had complcations. wound was infected, etc. but i am hoping to learn something about this.

What's her disorder?
she is MORBIDLY obease. she had surgery when she was 21 and had a blood transfusion and got hep c. After she got out of the hospital for that, she gained 100lbs in a month, and has gotten worse ever since.

Does Hep C cause a person to gain weight, or does it inhibit activity, or... ?

i am not sure. They really didn't go into that. She just said that when she got Hep. C she was in the hospital for 2 months and she could not eat during that time. when she got out, she gained all that weight. I am thinking that the blood transfusion had soemthing to do with it.

Either way, in 17 weeks, she lost 200lbs.
