HI all

I am currently connected to the internet through a LAN that spans over
the whole city. Can anybody recommend me a really good program
that can discover and show the logical topology of the whole network -
i mean switches, routers, servers and nodes in my Lan ???

Thanks in advance

you'll need the SNMP communitry strings to get topology information. Can you call the network manager and get a diagram?

How can i use them???

The admin of your network should be able to help you out. Doing this without permissions is considered rude, and in many cases a form of intelligence gathering when attempting to hack a network. (read: it can get you in a lot of trouble if you do not have permission)
