Thanks - got one too.

I bet pretty soon all card companies will issue these. It makes sense, that if it is easier for you to grab one card versus all your others that you will use it more. Smart marketting.

However, you just know that the checkout tellers at the grocery store are going to ask to see it and want to see your real card too to check if your signature matches. Oh well, nice for the free gadget factor.

I still have my Mobil Speedpass keyrings, even though they don't have Mobil gas where I live. :)

Wow. Very sleek-looking. Thanks for the heads up : )

I wouldn't have logged in until at least a week from now. Got in before the rush.

A question for anyone who receives this - the site says that they will send new Discover cards with the 2go card so that everything will have the same expiration date. If you have one of the specialty cards (I have the flag one) do you get a new one that is the same or do you get the normal one?

I just got mine yesterday (ordered last week) and you do get the same flag version. There is a place for the signature, so this is a valid card to use any time, but I found that it's too big for my liking. I thought that if it was to be used as a keychain, it would be small, but the holder is too big for me to use on a day-to-day basis. (Wouldn't want to look like a dork with a huge plastic thing hanging off my keys...)

Too dorky for me.. I have too many keys to carry around, and my Discover card works great for me...

One off topic question... If anyone can use your credit card for unauthorized purchases, why don't they make you type in a PIN code on the card to use it? They do this already with debit cards and it can't be too hard to do the same with credit cards. This way some loser can't steal your card and have a field day until you call the credit card company. Do they think we are all too stupid to remember a PIN code and the lost sales from the idiots not remembering their PIN codes is greater than the losses from unauthorized purchases?

I have two accounts (cards) with them, and one went OK, but the other one said:

We're Sorry.

We cannot honor your request for the Discover 2GOSM Card at this time. If you'd like further assistance, please call 1-800-DISCOVER (1-800-347-2683).

Why?

One of the safety precautions of DISCOVER CARD is that the same person cannot have more than the one account.

Yep, it seems to have been instituted fairly recently. (Although I think it's just to keep people like us from getting all the "new" account bonuses...;) )
