Discoloration on Projector

I own a Pioneer LCD 720p projector and the top bit of the screen shows a redish tint to it. The bulb does need to be replaced soon, would that be the cause? Hopping to find people with projector experience in this forum.

It's about 2 years old, maybe a bit more. It has about 1100 hours on it.

I have some minor color uniformity issues that I only notice on a pure white screen.

try using the vacuum on the exhaust port first... may be good enough to pull the dust if it is a dust issue. Opening it up should be treated as last resort since you might introduce more dust.

Yes, but only as a thin strip at the top of the screen, I'd say less than 5% of the screen. It is darker than that, very apparent when watching scenes with lots of white or gray.
