Disco lights?`

So is the fad now to make the inside of your computer look like Friday night at the local disco? We had the LED fans and now RGB on the MB, on the GPU, on the memory sticks and inside the case itself. Sorry but it is just gaudy.

Don't forget keyboards and mice as well 😉

I actually have this keyboard, but I set the lights to be solid and static, and it's nice to have them on at night to see. But there's no way I could type with it cycling the colors like they show in this video.

But outside of that, I don't care about having RGB on any other component, but I imagine slapping a few RGBs on components increases their profit margins quite a bit because a lot of people (especially younger) love everything looking "blingy".

You missed RGB'ed and water cooled PSU.
Remember early 2000 when car modders were addicted to "neon everywhere" theme? Well, that trend is borrowed by DIY PC industry.
I once bought an hsf that came with blue led fan. It annoyed my roommate and also kind of ruining my sleep quality. Eventually replaced it with the normal one.

IDK it isn't bad if done right. I went with a red, blue, and black theme with my current build and it looks good. I got my ram set to pulse and my RX480 blinks in sequence. My Spec Alpha case sets the tone nicely with the red fans and sharp angles.

My 11yo son and his friends said it looks like a computer from the movies and that got me thinking. Yeah they might be right. If you've ever watched Star Trek or Star Wars or any sci-fi really they aren't using boring black or beige boxes. The computers in the movies have blinking buttons and neon lights flashing everywhere.
So yeah I got a computer like the ones in the movies and I think that's pretty cool.

I love the disco lights. Not only do I have RGB LEDs all over my PC, but my entire house looks like this:
