Disc T@2 feature ?

I read that you can only T@2 on the UNUSED portion of the disc. So does that mean that if i write 700mb on a cd i cant do the T@2 ??? That's really not that great of a feature then. If you think about it, you can only put an image on a practically empty CD !!! Am i wrong ?

Also, the quality or readability of the Disc T@2 feature is also dependant on the media used. For best results you should use a CDR that uses a Super Azzo dye; T@2s on silver coloured dye appear almost invisible. Oh, and the T@2 feature also doesn't work on CD-RWs. Regardless, I still bought one of these drives.

ding ding ding ding.... Lord Evermore has it! <lol>

I've used one quite a bit here recently (the Yamaha F1)... and the ONLY thing that I've found that's good for it is that if you save, oh, 75MB or so for the T@2 thing, you can just put "title text" on the exterior of the disc in small font. My new car stereo will play MP3 CDs.... so it was nice to put the album titles on the exterior edge (its a lot nicer than trying to write with a sharpie on top... and is cheaper than labels).

And bluntman is right... you really need to use the "blue" CD-Rs.... Verbatims typically work well.

Oh well. there are a lot worse gimmicks out there... but a gimmick it is.
