Disc caught in PS2

My PS2's disc tray stopped opening and I couldn't pull the tray out so I opened it up and noticed that the disc is still "clamped" into the drive. It still works, but I don't want to play GTA San Andreas for the rest of eternity. Anyone have an idea how to get the disc out without wrecking the drive or should I just dismantle the thing and buy a new PS2?
 
Search google for "PS2 laser adjustment" or "PS2 modchip install" you will find guides on how to open the PS2
 
I've already opened it, but I'm looking for a way to un-clamp the disc without ripping the DVD drive apart.
