Disc-At-Once/96: What is this?

My new CD-RW now has both Disc-At-Once and Disc-At-Once/96 modes. If I understand correctly, Disc-At-Once/96 is only useful if you're trying to clone a CD that has subchannel data. For normal data writing, there's no benefit of using Disc-At-Once/96 over Disc-At-Once.

Is this right?
