I've been here since 4am, I was supposed to be able to start at 4:30. All the UNIX folks are still doing their thing, so I just wait, and wait, and wait... I want to go back to sleep! In a real disaster I wait for no one :)

On a side note, connnecting to the Internet using a modem really isn't as bad as I remember it.

Wow, you must REALLY be tired. :)

Maybe that's it, I keep dozing off as stuff goes to load!

Funny you mention it... We recently drew up a DRP, and before we got the chance to test it, things started exploding. Hell, even our business DRP is being tested in the real world at this moment - we're in the midst of an emergency relocation of a significant portion of our physical plant operations (we didn't have any data operations on that site, save for a PC to blare music)

The rollout of several new pieces of kit have been delayed because our existing stuff has been dropping like flies. We even had to take our new fileserver and turn it into a temporary DC until we can requisition some extra P4's.

Hell, even 1/2 of our presentation laptop fleet (they were sexxed up Powerbook G3 Wallstreets, chosen only because of their restrained, sophisticated look) has decided to fail - we've had to port those over to Latitudes until we can find 2 more Wallstreets.

If they don't have a UPS solution, kick their power outlet out of the wall and call it a "power grid failure" test. :D
