Well, the film is a disaster alright. I can't image even pop-culture brainwashed teenagers would think this movie is funny. Somehow I managed to watch an entire 17 minutes without killing myself.

I got the movie at a Christmas party gift exchange. There was an $8 limit, I feel bad that someone spent that much on the POS.

It's sad, but it's a testiment to the fact that what sells != what's good. People don't mind plopping down $10 on a ticket for a movie they know full and well is an abortion of a film since they don't care about quality, just that they get in a few laughs.

Remove the disc and artwork from the case and send it back to them with a note that says "Thanks for the DVD case for Christmas. This junk was inside of it though, not sure if its yours, but thought I'd send it back to you."

did the gift exchange not have the option to pirate someone else's gift? ...or were you the last one in the exchange and got saddled with this lump and no other option to unload it?

You're right. It's the only way to explain the success of Marley & Me. Christ that movie looks terrible.

This.

Yup. Did they get you a Nickelback CD as well?

Why'd you even watch it and not sell it or trade it in for store cred somewhere? That's what I would have done.

It was made from a book that was actually pretty good. But it's one of those things that you really shouldn't make into film. It seems any book that gets even remotely popular gets turned into a movie. Not always a good idea.
