disassembling a piano?

Hello, I am renovating my living room and want to get rid of this old out of tune piano that has been in the corner for over 20 years. Has anyone ever tried disassembling a piano? I figure it will be impossible to get it down the stairs in one piece so I might as well try to take it apart. Any suggestions?

sell it, its still worth decent money.

<---used to move pianos way back. you just slap it on a piano board and have a couple big guys move it. probably wouldn't cost you too much money and most likely a piano shop will buy it from you and take it off your hands.

damn full grands
grrrrr...

-edit- if you just want to move it call the piano shop anyway and get them to tune it.

-edit2- just reread your OP, do NOT take it apart. you will ruin it.
