Disappointed with Dathorn

Well, i've been with them for a couple years now and absolutely love it, but today I finally ran into one of my first complaints...

I offered to host my sisters small startup business site and she is using zencart. Her account was suspseded due to "Excessive resource usage", after submitting a trouble ticket andrew can offer no solution except "dont use zencart". i've offered to make sure to optimze the site and minimize query counts but in reply i get "if it happens again the account will be permenantly suspended". This is not a acceptable answer. Its a very small site and gets at most 1000 hits a day.

I dont want to cancel my Dathorn account completely, but i need to find other hosting for my sister i guess...any recomendations?

I was with them years ago and had a simular issue.... Andrew was a jerk and completely stand-offish. Wouldn't even provide me with answers, just acted like a complete a-hole.

I've since been with http://www.telnap.com which is run by DeviousTrap here on the forums.. Couldn't be happier.

I had suspension issues with him in the past, also. Now I'm very happy with http://bluewho.com

I might move because of this, he is pretty rude. Its just so much work to move all the domains

Go search Dathorn over at WHT (Webhostingtalk.com), 95% of the threads relate to how rude Andrew is to his customers.

I don't care what some say, a little tact goes a long way.

Any cPanel host would gladly move all of your accounts over, provided you can supply them wth the old cPanel logins.

i started out with Andrew and Dathorn and it was great, then some *troubles* here and there....switched and haven't looked back.
