Disappearing Network Folders in XP

I have two XP computers networked via a wired Linksys router. The problem is that my shared folders disappear from My Network Places. If I run the XP network set up wizard they reappear for a couple of days but then disappear again. On computer #1 all the folders are gone. On computer #2 all but 2 folders disappear. I don't think it's the router. I checked the DHCP clients tab in the router & both computers are visible. Both computers are running XP sp2 with Windows Firewall turned off. Any ideas?

Those folders can be unreliable. If one computer is off, all the folders shared on that computer disappear and may not come back for a while. Sometimes they stay. The best bet is to just click on "View Workgroup computers" in the side bar, and go into the computer that has the shares you want to access. Then you'll always get them if the other computer is on.
