Disappearing cursor in Guideplus

Senior member
I have an AIW 9800 Pro and when opening Guideplus, the cursor disappears after about 5 seconds. It will reappear if you put the cursor over the TV window in the top right or outside of Guideplus (like over the Taskbar. Anyone else have this problem and has anyone found a fix for it? I have tried installing/reinstalling Guideplus without finding a solution. This was with a clean install of Windows XP Pro as well.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ATI just released new Catalyst drivers Have you tried downloading and installing them?

Could fix your problem 🙂

And have you also downloaded and installed Direct X9.0a

The old DX9.0 had thing fixed
and by the way Direct X is not just for games it does stuff for windows too.

Thanks for your reply, but I am using the Catalyst 3.4 drivers already and I am using Direct X 9.0a. I tried reinstalling the Direct X 9.0a and it made no difference.

Any other ideas?

Really? Cat 3.6 is out? Man....now I got to uninstall 3.5 all over again (I myself just installed my AIW 9800 this weekend).

sickNtired: I will go look and see if mine has the same behavior. I havn't really used the Guide+ program (just been using the regular TV viewer, and the remote control), but I will let you know tonight when I get a chance to look at it again.
