Disabling wireless on a wireless router

crobusa

Senior member
My friends at Belkin tell me it's unpossable to disable wireless on a F5D7230-4, so I want to make it as hard as possible to connect.

Changes to default
Disable SSID, with a random name
Channel 1
Wireless mode: 54g only

And then I was thinking, what happens if I point it to a WPA Radius server that doesn't exist? Would this make authentication impossible while letting wired traffic through?

TIA

Enable the MAC filter and put in there only the MACs of the computers that are going to traffic through the Switch.

P.S. You can try to wrap the Antennae with Aluminum foil.😉
