Disabling Thermal probe on Fan

I know this is probably an easy answer but whats the fastest way to disable the thermal controller on a SmartFan1 so that it runs full blast? Is cutting the wire all thats needed?

thanks

I'm pretty sure that if it has the Red, Black and Yellow wires, you can pull the yellow wire out of the adapter so it doesn't connect. You could cut it, but what if you want it later on?

does it use RPM monitoring (3 wire fan) or does it have a small blue bulb-like object in the center of the fan?

i think you just need to cut the probe and twist the ends of the two wires together and it should run at full speed.
