Can this be done? I have a younger brother who constantly uses my computer to play his music while I'm away and I wish to deter him from doing this by disabling sound when he logs onto his account. He needs to use his current account so as he can start the Internet and use it in his own room. How would I go about doing this though? Would I have to apply a policy of some sort so as there is no sound output when logged into his account? Thanks in advance.

I am not aware of a policy that is specific to sound, but you could just disable your sound card in device manager when you go away. If he is not a member of the administrators group he will not be able to re-enable the device. The only problem with this is that you have to do it manually every time.
