Disabling onboard video

Trying to disable onboard video while installing a pci video card. No AGP available. In the bios it show info about the onboard video but no setting to disable. I cannot see a jumper for it either, not sure if there is one. Decide to just put the card it anyway and it displays video but it will not go past the initial HP logo screen.

Computer is an HP pavilian XE743. Intel 810E chipset. I can't determine the motherboard model number to find any details about settings and board layout.

If you see the option to set the amount of memory to be used by the onboard video, set it to 0mb(if it is an option) and it should disable the onboard video. Also make sure the init display setting(if available) is set to pci.

That limited bios does not offer a way to disable video. take out the card restart it. go into the hardware devices, and under the system devices, disable the 82810E chipset video. Turn off the machine plug the card in and restart
