disabling onboard sound

i'm trying to figure out how to disable onboard sound on my mobo: iwill dvd266-R

the manual says that i can disable it by the jumper and i did that, thing is when i have sound disabled, i cannot install my acoustic edge. but when i enable it, win2k notices the new hardware..

i've tried to search for the audio setting in the bios but its not there...

the kk266 might be similar, if you have had any experinece with this, the help would be appreciated
