My damn Dad decided that he wanted to get Net Nanny for our comp so he could see the sites I go to. I was wondering if there was any way, like using Registry Editor, to disable Net Nanny. Thanks for the help.
there is way actually, however i can not rememeger where i last saw it, it was many many months ago, do a search on google or metacrawler under free internet speech or antiinternet censorship, you are bound to find it.
LOL, this is quite funny I think. Oh well, you could try doing the things outlined here:
Kill the application by doing CTRL+ALT+DELETE, choosing Wnldr32 (on some versions the task is called OCRAWARE) and clicking "end task".
Thanks guys, I never realized it was that easy Moonbender, I always end the Wnldr32 task, everytime I boot up my computer. So this means it won't be monitoring anything, right? None of the website I go to?
You should be grateful that your dad is concerned for you.
And, no, I am not being sarcastic. I really mean it.
Anyway he was smart enough to figure out that he needed to install NetNanny, so he will eventually figure out that you are disabling it.
Don't forget there are other programs that track computer usage and don't show up when you hit CTL-ALT-DELETE.
