Disabling DVD Hardware on Voodoo 5

Is it possible to do so? My voodoo 5 seems to run great and look great with video games and 2D, however the DVD preformance....sucks!

Is there a way to disable the hardware MPEG decoding of the voodoo 5 and just pipe it right through my software decoder?

Voodoo never had hardware decoding. It is simply the worst card for video. The best you can do is use the current version of PowerDVD.
