disabling cd burning in the XP OS.

I believe that is one of the services you can disable in the control panel-administrative tools section.

my computer>burner>properties>recording & uncheck enable cd recording on this drive.
you can also turn off the IMAPI cd burning service!

Start-Run-msconfig-System- Uncheck "IMAPI CD-Burning COM Service"
