Disabling AUTORUN in Win XP...

I disabled autorun shortly after buying the infamous Velvot Revolver CD but now I have to deal with a bunch of slightly annoying side effects with my OS. CD information does not refresh properly in 'My Computer' when I swap discs now. It also happens in iTunes (which specifically stated it would not run properly with AUTORUN disabled. Is there a way to get Win XP to behave normally with the exception of not automatically running executables when inserting CDs (the stupidest concept I have ever heard of, IMO)?

To stop autorun from running when inserting a CD just press shift as the operating system tries to read the CD and the disk will not autorun. This of course assumes that you didn't tweak your Registry to disable autorun.
