Disabling Aero Interface in Win7

Right click desktop, pick personalize on menu then scroll to basic themes and pick one of your choice.
 
Also, you can right click Computer, select properties, click Advanced System Settings form the left column, on the Advanced tab click Settings under Performance, and select the Adjust for best performance radio button, or do a custom setting using the checkboxes.
 
Primarily eye candy in the form of window frames with variable translucency.
