disabled ACPI. decreased and increased performance?

This is strnage and i dont know wtf it is but here it goes

I disabled ACPI in windows 2000. NOW for some strange reason my 3dmark score went down 110 points but my quake 3 scores went up 8 fps. Whats up with that? is this normal? Thanks :)

Why did you disable ACPI? It does have some impact on performance. Why it had that particular impact, who knows. It's not reccomended that you disable ACPI purely for performance reasons.

Some reason 3dmark 2001 wont run over night (YES I KNOW WHO CARES) but wanted to see if this fixes it. If it does great. if it doesnt ill just format and reinstall everything normal :)

Do you have the Turtle Beach? That is what I had to do on two computers to get the Turtle Beach working. I think it does decrease performance because the cards are not sharing anymore. That is of course why this fix works for the Turtle Beach because it wants to hog the PCI bus.
