Disable write combining in windows 2000?

Hi all.

Playing Oblivion and have had a number of artifacts appear in the game after a while of play. It's not a heat issue as I have checked the status of the case/cpu/gpu. However I have read that SiS chipsets are crap and this is where the problem lies. It has been suggested that I turn off 'enable write combining' an option found in the troubleshooting part of the display driver. However due to the fact my pc is a work one running windows 2000 it doesnt have this option.

Anyone know a way?
