Always use wireless connection on my laptop, but when I want to upload a youtube video, I need a faster connection. I plug my laptop directly into router and my laptop recognizes both the wireless and direct connection, but it seems video is still being uploaded through the slower wireless connection.
When you click on each connection, it shows the bytes sent and received, and the wireless connection is moving much more data than the direct connection.

What can I do to get the direct connection to override the wireless one?

Two ways to turn off the wireless connection:

1. Some laptops have a physical switch you can use to turn it off.

2. You can probably find it as an option by right clicking the wireless icon in the message area or in Network Connections.

Hope that helps. :)

Click Fn-F2. On most laptops, this disables the wifi NIC.

Or click disable when viewing the NIC from Network Connections.
