Disable or Not

With all the bells and whistles of the new motherboards some features are not likely to be used. I am not using Firewire, or SATA (yet for SATA). Would it be to my benefit to disable those in the BIOS.

If I'm not using a feature I always disable it.

Disabling SATA might speed up your boot, theres no reason to disable firewire though.

I always disable unused features. I even disable the 2 serial ports.

I disable those also. And i would disable my parallel port if i didn't have some ancient printer.

But disabling the firewire and the SATA-RAID wont free anything up, or make any differences.
