disable IDE on KT7?

i've got a duron 950 🙂 on a KT7, and it rules as we all know. i've got an entirely scsi system, though, and i tried to disable the IDE detection on boot. it still tries to detect IDE devices, though. how can i turn this off, or does it really matter? thanks.
 
You may also want to try and disaable the primary IDE channel, you can do this in the Intergrated Peripherals page
