I have a folder with a ton of AVI files. Windows Explorer displays Size, Type, Date Modified for every file. For just AVI files, it also displays Duration and Dimentions. Whenever, Windows Explorer is in this folder, it always takes up a ton of CPU because it has to get the Duration and Dimentions for each one of those files. Is there a way to stop Windows Explorer from getting the Duration and Dimentions information for each AVI file? I googled and this is all I could find..
It seems that there's a .dll file that handles this. Help would be appreciated from anybody who is a better googler than me, or from anybody who knows how to disable this bloated feature of Windows Explorer.
Thanks.
