Disable automatic cloning

I have an HD4870 with a 1920x1200 screen on one DVI port and a Yamaha YSP-4000 on the other (with the included HDMI adaptor).

The YSP is turned off most of the time, but when I turn it on I guess it's seen as a new display by Windows/CCC and automatically the picture is cloned to it and I get 1920x1080 on the computer screen...

I don't want this to happen. Sure, I want it to detect the new hardware and all, but I don't want it to automatically switch to clone mode. I want to manually enable this when I need it. You see, normally when I turn the YSP on it is to use my PS3, not the computer through it.

I do have profiles set in CCC with hotkeys and all that, but I still feel that this behavior is unnecessarily annoying. Is there a way of disabling automatic cloning?

(Also, when the YSP is turned off again, do you think the system automatically reverts back to 1920x1200? Noooo, of course not... Because that would be too useful. Bah!)
