Background:
Me and roommate have our differences. He won't allow me to use his Linksys WRT54G. I buy one for myself. This creates a network that has the modem on my Linksys WRT54G, which is connected via Cat 5 to his wireless router. He also randomly sets up a Linksys WVC54G.
He doesn't seem to mind letting me know where it's at. If that would be done, I wouldn't mind 1 bit if he informed me of this, but he doesn't seem to care to do so.
Therefore, I'm willing to disable (if possible) the broadcast of the 2.4 signal in the area. If and only if this disabling of this broadcast channel wouldn't have any immediate legal implications. If I can get a disabling of it for a 5-foot radius, that would be perfect.
If this can be done, how?
