British bank helped Iran moved billions into U.S.

Iranian banks illegally shifted billions of dollars through American financial institutions in recent years, and the authorities suspect some of the money may have been used to finance Iranian nuclear and missile programs.

Details of the illicit transfers came to light on Friday when the New York State and U.S. authorities announced that a large British bank had agreed to pay $350 million to settle accusations that it had helped the Iranian banks hide the transactions.

It is nice to know that the people you are fighting against is being help by your banks & allies banks.

It just go to show that bankers/people with money have absolutely no moral, and have no regard for laws.

Wow, I always knew Lloyds was evil, ever since they charged me £40 for going £2 over my overdraft limit.

They don't mention which American bank took the dirty money though - maybe because of some ongoing investigation?

You are right the US & Iran just love each other therefore the constantly saber rattling, and interferes with each other politics/interests, such as "tried to sabotage Iran's nuclear plans" is a sign of affection.
