Dirtiest computer you've ever seen?

What's the dirtiest computer you've ever seen, owned, or worked on? Descriptions are ok, but pictures would be best. 😉

For me, I fixed a Pentium 4 Dell desktop about six months ago. It was caked with dirt on the inside, but nothing I hadn't seen before. When we removed the front panel, on the other hand, we found dirt and dust packed so hard into the front intake vent that it literally came out in a half-inch thick, tightly packed cake. It looked like someone had been cramming hands full of dirt into the front of the computer over the course of a month. They owner said he hadn't cleaned it ever before.

I'm hoping I can dig up the pictures I took of it. I will edit them in later if I can find them.

Have you been reading Red Squirrel's thread? There are a few interesting photos there, heh.

A lot of dust has collected in some machines I've stored in basements, but nothing like as bad as what I've seen online. I've also read about techs opening TVs and other electronics and finding them infested with vermin; I presume the same has probably happened to computers, given their warmth.

I expect someone who's been deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan, etc, would be able to describe some pretty badly f*cked up systems, esp in regards to dust or mud.

EDITED: OOPS, didn't see the link at the top of your post! My bad...

i dont smoke, and live in a fairly non-dusty house.

my computers all use positive pressure, and have filters on every intake.

i dont have much dust problems.

I've worked on computers with ants in em before...definitely a surprise when I opened it up....one I worked on was from a clothing shop. As you can imagine, the lint in that machine was like the worlds largest cheap dryer. Literally, the lint was at least 2-3 inches thick on every wall of that computer. Mainboard, case door, bottom, power supply, anything it could stick to. And, as I'm sure you can also imagine...it was having overheating issues.

Computers with heavy smokers are always fun.

Oh I also worked on one that had what appeared to be a full tree inside. Not really, but there were tons of leaves and twigs/sticks.

OH I forgot my computer with human waste inside of it. I believe the customers baby kid had taken a slight potty break on their laptop. He wanted a new mainboard, but as soon as my colleague saw it he threw a big "Biohazard" sign on it.

Can't believe I almost forgot about that.

My Computer gets very dusty inside.. Im not sure why but my room in particular gets dusty. I guess i shed alot of skin or something.. My computer usually gets a film of particle dust over everything inside..

The worst PC iv ever seen tho were ones from a Computer cafe. I took the case off one one and it had so much dust in it i thought it a cotton candy machine..
