Dirt vs PGR 4?

I picked up both in the TRU buy 2 get 1 free deal. I'm going to exchange one for Skate when they have it in stock. It was going to be Dirt going back, but now I'm reconsidering.

My main problem with racing games are that they're too repetitive, so I end up not playing them to completion. I have PGR 3 and never finished it. It's a fun game, but it's the same tracks over and over again... A rally racing game is a different beast, because you're not driving around in circles on a track. I think Dirt might have more longevity for me. One of the first games I bought for my Gamecube was a rally racing game, and I enjoyed it a lot.

So -
1. Which is the better game?
2. Which would you keep knowing what I said above?

I'm leaning toward Dirt obviously, but I don't know much about it. I liked PGR 3 a lot...

I found the TRU deal in my area to suck pretty hardcore. I have a lot of 360 games already, so that doesn't help and they had none of the good PS3 games or at least not 3 games I'd want (or even 2 PS3 and 1 360). I ended up just going to EB Games and buying Folklore there.

But anyway, about DiRT. DiRT's not too bad, but I think PGR4 is better. I've beat probably about 60% of the arcade mode in PGR4 right now and I've barely played DiRT (this also comes from the fact that I also own Sega Rally Revo, which I think is a bit more fun arcade-wise than DiRT).

dirt is good...pgr4 is good too..tough call, i think they are both dif monsters. if you like rally, then yeah Dirt is the way to go.

what rally game was it on the cube?

You wont be dissapointed with either, but from what it sounds like, DiRT may be a bit better. its a REALLY< REALLY good game

I only have DiRT and have not even played the PGR4 demo, but DiRT is a pretty bomb ass game. Not repetitive like PGR3 imo

PGR4. I got it for my 30th birthday. (yes I realize its weird getting video games for a bday at this age).
I rented Dirt, and couldn't get into after the first few races. The visuals are stunning on both, but I heard MP with PGR4 on Live is fun right now. I'll have to try it before NFS PS comes out.

I've not played PGR4, but Dirt is a very good game! But it's still a very rally-oriented game despite their attempt to market it as mainstream, so you have to like rally to get the most enjoyment out of it.

Ideal thing to do would be to download the demos if possible?

But if not then I recommend DIRT - since you already have PGR 3. Having 2 games of a specific time of genre you find repetitve is a bit pointless. You can still enjoy PGR3 once you buy DIRT.

I do have to say the campaign or career mode in PGR is rather, ummm, funny. Not used to it.
And to make the decision harder, here is something trivial, yet cool. The UI menu's on both of the games is the slickest thing since Teflon.
