Anybody pick this one up? I played the demo a bit a couple months ago, and although it was pretty fun, I was skeptical as to how much they could really do with the demolition derby concept they've focused on for DiRT Showdown. However, my local indi store had it new for $45 last night, so I grabbed it.

Only got a few hours on it, but, it's pretty damn fun. Before I even did a single event, I turned the difficulty all the way up (I hate how easy some racing games are) to keep me from blowing through all the events with minimal effort. The other modes not featured in the demo are surprisingly entertaining. Even after winning an event (which isn't terribly easy with the difficulty increased), I find myself replaying events a few times just because of how fun they are.

I've only done one RaceNet event, so I haven't delved too far into what that has to offer.

The game as a whole seems pretty good though. Fans of the Destruction Derby series (like myself) will definitely want to check it out. Destruction Derby 1 on the PSX was the whole reason I wanted a PSX in the first place back in the day. And DiRT Showdown feels like a well done Destruction Derby title on PS3.

LOL, you only have 1 raptor drive? haha...

Pick up the PC version, looks like you got a pretty decent PC. Drop the 32gb down to 2x8gb and try to hit 1600mhz, you'll gain around 10-15% performance boost. WHICH IS ALOT:D

What relevance is this post to a console gaming thread? Honestly?

(Not to mention 15-20% performance for your suggestion is ridiculous at best. The hit he'd take in losing 16gb of ram would be far more than the ~2-3% tops he'd gain from the memory speed change.)
