Hello everyone,
Is there any reason for downloading the new DirectX9 if you have an older video card??
I'm asking because I have a GF2 MX400 and I now have DirectX8a installed.Does DirectX9 worth the download in this case??
Any comment that saves me from a, probably worthless, download is welcome - I'm on a 56k connection (like running on a GF2MX400 in 2003 was not enough)!!

Thanx for your time!

why do you need dx9?

1. dx9 is not taken advantage yet by most games.
2. ur old card does not support dx9.
3. dx9 is buggy, so wait for dx9.1 if you get a radeon 9500/9700.

so my comment is: forget about dx9.

Some games REQUIRE DX9 in order to work, so, I recommend you to download it. DX9.0a is out and fixes the bugs in DX9, so, thats all. I have a GF2MX and it doesent make anything bad, it just make you be able to play some games that requires it...

Yeah, I couldn't find it when I looked. Hopefully they'll fix whatever they need to fix and put it back out there.
