I format systems quite occasionally and its a pain to download DX9 from Windows Update everytime. The worst part is that I'm on dial up which makes it even more painful. Can anyone link me to a standalone installer?

I cant find it on the MS website...

unfortunetly that is not a full install, you will still need an internet connection for it to pull the parts it needs but it should work for you.

EDIT > btw, anybody knows why MS would not give a standalone installer link to the end users ? I hate the websetup link......its not easy for people on 33.6k and 56k connections

Thanks for the link SamuraiSledge. I hadn't been able to find the 9.0a link and had assumed that it didn't exist.

Whenever you want a standalone install, look for the Redistributable installs. These are full standalone installs.
