Ive just completed a clean install of win2k pro sp3. When I try
and install directx 8.1b it fails with the message "cannot copy
required file". The install log shows error -5. I get the same
problem if I try to install directx 9. Apparently this problem is
quite common, but I havent found a cause or fix. Any ideas?
