DirectX and Radeon 9200 question

Hi I just recently bought my son software name "Bionicle". It stated it required DirectX 9.0. Can any video card with DirectX 8.1 or lower such as Radeon 9200 be able to play this game? I am planning to upgrade the video card (Radeon 9200). I am out of the computer world for the last four years and have been really out of date on this thing.

what's your question? you should still be able to play it. just have DX9 installed in windows.

Most likely it means dx9 must be installed to run it. A dx8 card such as a 9200 should work fine though.
